I am not a fan of franchise coffee shops like Starbucks and Costas. Not a coffee snob, but their brews are usually pretty rank and need all those disgusting sweet flavourings to be palatable. I’m lucky I live in a small town with enough good small independent cafes that I don’t have to rely on the brown stuff passed off as coffee in the franchises. Strangely enough the one franchise that does offer drinkable coffee is not a coffee chain, but Macdonalds. #mbnov
